Donated to the city of Amsterdam


In 1895 this beautiful 17th century canal house was donated to the city of Amsterdam by widow Willet-Holthuysen. Condition was that the House had to be opened up to the public.

Each room is decorated differently


The Museum Willet-Holthuysen has several rooms all of which are decorated differently. Complete with furniture, porcelain tableware and various paintings. There is sufficient material and information in each room to involve the visitorin what he or she sees. Its garden is also open. You get a good impression of how a wealthy 19th century couple lived in Amsterdam. It is interesting and entertaining to walk through Museum Willet-Holthuysen.
