Our review of Nieuwmarkt
Square in the old town
The Nieuwmarkt is located in the most ancient part of Amsterdam. Adjacent to the red light district and the seafront. De waag, which constitutes the Centre of the square, is beautiful. But around it is a somewhat cluttered, but cosy atmosphere. You will find many restaurants and terraces.
On the Nieuwmarkt is a small market every day, except on Sundays. The square gives a lot of hustle and bustle of both Amsterdammers as tourists.
