"Attractive neighborhood with diverse range of restaurants and shops."
Architecturally rather boring district. However, very attractive by the diverse array of restaurants and trendy shops in Amsterdam.
- very atmospheric pieces
- wide range of shops and catering
- architectural quite boring
- no striking attractions
Our review of De Pijp

Trendy workers district

This working class neighborhood has become a trendy thing after another working class neighborhood De Jordaan underwent the same fate. You will find a mix of many cultures, traditional and trendy shops, streets and many restaurants.

No canals

The architecture of the pipe is unfortunately rather boring. There are less old buildings than in De Jordaan. And there are no canals, for that typical Amsterdam atmosphere.

Much atmosphere in de Pijp

The main attraction of the district De Pijp is its atmosphere. By the mix of the very diverse range of different shops and various hangouts walk there are many people around on the street. Centers of the district are the Albert Cuyp market and Sarphatipark. Major streets are 1e van der Helstraat, Marie Heinekenplein, Albert Cuypstraat and Ferninand Bolstraat. Other pieces are just pretty boring residential areas.
